Stephen Barr is the SVP, Data & Algorithms at Kognitiv.
He’s worked in the business since 2020, when Kognitiv bought Noetic Marketing Technologies, of which Stephen was a founder & director.
Stephen brought a number of things to Kognitiv, including:
A great tech team based in Sri Lanka, which is now a Kognitiv Centre of Excellence for tech development; A Wealth of experience welding practical CRM performance to the AI and Machine learning models required to deliver the kind of performance improvements businesses are looking for today; and, A generalised approach to data design and modelling which meshed perfectly with our emerging data product-first approach to delivering client value.
At Kognitiv, Stephen has been at the heart of designing and delivering what we call the ‘general data model’, a generalized set of data structures designed to work for any client, no matter what industry they are in, which underpins our SAAS-based approach to data products.
At Kognitiv, he helps to deliver our data products to all our clients, so they can get on with the business of running their business. He leads the ‘Kognition’ team – full of super-smart AI and ML specialists, who are responsible for designing and delivering cutting-edge models that deliver incremental revenue or savings, or both, to our clients. He also leads the visualisation team, who bring those models to life to a non-technical audience.
Stephen’s background is in statistics and psychology and his passion is the application of predictive modelling to human behavior for better marketing.
Stephen has lots of experience working on data from numerous industries, including clients in Hospitality, Auto, Food and clothing retail.
