11:30 AM | What Do Flyers Want?
The traveling public believes it should be able to pick up with the airlines where it left off pre-pandemic. There’s been shared sacrifice by consumers and business during the pandemic and it seems to be in our human nature to adopt the “not my fault” point of view, resulting in limited sympathy for the financial plight of the airlines. Most travelers expect to retain their mileage balances, tier status, and the attendant privileges in-tact as they begin to travel again. This is especially true for business travelers. Join us for a fast-paced discussion of what the future will for business and leisure travelers and what they expect from their frequent flyer programs.

2:00 PM | The Evolution of Mileage Redemption
Most travelers join Frequent Flyer Programs to redeem miles for travel. The aspirational value of travel rewards creates the highest-rated perceived value among all loyalty currencies. As air travel recovers, reward redemptions will increase sharply. Will there be enough rewards seating available from cash-starved airlines to meet FFP member demand? How will loyalty managers balance the need to satisfy FFP members with their own financial needs? What tactics to manage financial liability will have the most impact? Will airlines turn towards charitable options, “same as cash” and point-exchange options, or find other solutions? How should the industry view these options, and what will work best for the airlines?
